Blog Post Image: A Roly-Poly Pika Gathers Much Moss

A small mammal known as a pika peers out from thick moss in Oregon’s Columbia River Gorge. A University of Utah study found the pikas survive warmer low elevations in Oregon by eating a diet of 60 percent moss, compared with their grassier diet at high elevations.
