Blog Post Image: Scientists Train the Next Generation on Oil Spill Research

WHOI senior scientist Chris Reddy and his researchers have collected over 1,000 oil samples along the Gulf of Mexico coastline. He analyzes the samples in his lab to determine what they are comprised of and if they contain oil from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill from 2010. He has developed an on-line database with the date, location, and GPS coordinates for each sample, which researchers can request for their studies.
